The Men’s Section of Chorley Golf Club has a large membership and contains golfers of all ages and abilities. In fact, it contains one of the largest number of Category 1 players in the region (currently 35). It is a very competitive membership with competitions running throughout the week, specifically on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with principal Club competitions being held on Saturdays so there are plenty of opportunities for competitive golf.
For those just wanting a friendly and social game you will not be short of invitations to join one of the many informal “chuck ins”.
The Club is a member of the Manchester and District Golf Alliance, the Bolton Golf Association and the Preston and District Golf Association, all of which run interclub and individual competitions and matches thereby allowing members to play a wide variety of courses in the region.
The Club also has an active seniors' section which organises competitions throughout the year and fields teams in the interclub Red Rose and Ribble Valley leagues.
It’s not only golf that attracts golfers to Chorley Golf Club, you just have to stand on the first tee to appreciate the location with magnificent views of the surrounding West Pennine Moors, the iconic Winter Hill television mast and the ever popular Rivington Pike.
Whatever your standard of golf you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome at Chorley Golf Club.
